1What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are essential for a site to work. Others measure or track visits. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
2wiley.digital (the website)
- Analytics: we count visits with a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we run ourselves. It uses no cookies and does not follow you across other sites.
- wd_member: if you have signed in to the portal, the portal sets this small marker (the value is just "1") so the website can show "My portal" instead of "Creator login". It holds no personal information and lasts 30 days or until you sign out.
- Fonts: typefaces load from Google Fonts. This is not a cookie, but Google can see your IP address when it serves them.
3app.wiley.digital (the portal)
- Session cookie: keeps you signed in as you move between pages. It is essential. It is removed when you sign out or your session ends.
- Security token (XSRF): protects forms from being submitted by other sites. It is essential.
Our content delivery and security provider (Cloudflare) may also set a cookie that helps it tell real visitors from bots. It is used for security, not for advertising.
4Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in to the portal. Because we do not use tracking cookies, there is no cookie banner to accept or decline.
