1Who we are
Wiley Digital runs wiley.digital and the creator portal at app.wiley.digital. We decide how and why the personal information described here is used. You can reach us through our contact form or at [email protected].
2What we collect
When you contact us through the website. Your name and email, and whatever you choose to add: company, budget, platform, handle, follower count, topic and message. When the form is sent we also record your IP address and browser details, to deal with spam and abuse. Enquiries are stored in the portal where only our administrators can read them.
When you are a creator with an account.
- Account details: name, username, email, and a password that we store in scrambled (hashed) form. Optional details such as a profile photo or phone number if you add them.
- Your media kit: channel links, followers, average views, engagement, audience countries and age or gender ranges, past campaigns and results, rates, whether you are open to iGaming (online casino and betting) campaigns, countries you cannot promote in, and your confirmations that your audience is 18 or over and that you will disclose sponsored content.
- Programme records: your plan, start and deal dates, notes about your progress, invoices, offers sent to you and your answers, and notifications.
- Documents we hold for you, such as agreements, and any documents you upload. These are kept private to you and our administrators.
- Campaign and payment records: campaigns you take part in, your balance, withdrawal requests and the payout details you give us, and support tickets you send us.
- Sign-in records: the date and time, IP address, an approximate location (country and city) worked out from the IP address, and the browser and operating system you used.
When you visit the website. Our analytics tool counts page visits without cookies and without building a profile of you. See the Cookie Notice.
Brands. For brands we collect the business contact details, brief and billing information needed to run a campaign. Brands do not have portal logins.
3Why we use it, and our basis
- To provide our services: to reply to enquiries, set up and run your account, deliver training, match you with campaigns, pay and invoice. This is needed to carry out our agreement with you or to take steps you ask for before one.
- To keep things safe: sign-in records, spam checks and access controls protect accounts and the service. This is in our legitimate interest and yours.
- To meet legal duties: keeping financial records and answering lawful requests.
- With your consent where the law needs it, for example when you tell us you are open to iGaming campaigns and we include you in a pitch for them. You can change that answer in your media kit at any time.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
5Where information goes
Brands, creators and audiences are in many countries, and some of our providers operate outside yours. When information crosses borders, we only share what is needed and rely on the protections that apply to that provider and country.
6How long we keep it
- Enquiries: as long as needed to reply and follow up, then deleted on request or when no longer useful.
- Creator accounts and media kits: while your account is open. On closure we delete or anonymise them unless we need to keep records.
- Invoices, payment and agreement records: as long as the law or our accounting needs them.
- Sign-in records: kept for security and fraud checks, then removed or aggregated.
7How we protect it
The portal and website are served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed. Documents are kept in private storage and only the person they belong to, and our administrators, can open them. The enquiry inbox and admin tools are limited to administrators. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you do not use elsewhere, and tell us promptly if you notice anything wrong.
8Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable form, and withdraw consent you have given. You can edit your media kit and profile yourself in the portal. For anything else, use our contact form or write to [email protected]. We may need to confirm who you are first. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
9Under 18s
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, please tell us and we will delete it.
10Changes to this policy
We will update this page when what we do changes, and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your information in a significant way, we will tell you in the portal or by email.
